Notes:
Next up is
Aleem's 'Get Loose' which was a perfect representation of the New York
underground sound at the time so much so that this could almost be clased
as an early garage tune. This timeless classic was produced by the Teddy
Riley of the 80's Leroy Burgess. a singer, songwriter & producer who worked
with the likes of Dino Terrel, Conversion and Intrique to mention just
a few. Like many good 80's tunes this never really found the full crossover
status it deserved & could bizarrely be considereed as a specialist track.
Licensed from Nia records in the states to the 80's hit label Streetsounds
in the UK this cut was the finest moment of 1984.
