'You've Got That Something'

Logg's "(You Got) That Something" from their 1980 eponymous L.P. is a personal all time favourite. The album was produced by Greg Carmichael (he of Inner Life and Sammy Gordon fame) and the legendary hero of soulful disco Leroy Burgess. This is a superb example of Burgess's unique approach to songwriting and vocal delivery; it's not hard to see why he is God to so many black music afficionados. Here we feature the hard-to-find 12" remix with its echoing cowbell-filled break-downs. Trainspotters may recognize the bassline which was used by G.U. Presents The Soul Survivors "Get Down," a couple of years back.
